Neslihan Demir announces: “this is my last year playing in professional volleyball”

Bad news for all fans of Turkish star Neslihan Demir . The player confirmed two days ago that this will be her last year playing professional volleyball. Demir admitted that in an exclusive interview with local media.

“I think volleyball has already left me, but I’m still pushing myself.” There is not a limit in volleyball, I’m stretching. “This is my senior year, I really can not continue.” I would continue if I could, but there is not a day when I do not  feel pain (physical). I hope we end up winning the Champions League, ” said Neslihan.

The 34-year-old player was the savior of Galatasaray in the Champions League Final Four, scoring an incredible 38 points against Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA.

Demir has revealed no plans for the future: “I do not have a plan. My life is all about volleyball! The only thing I will do is play volleyball. I will continue working for volleyball.” said the opposite.

Neslihan Demir is Turkish four-time champion and two-time club champion. She was Turkey’s star at the London Olympics and twice at the World Championship in the years 2006 and 2010. Demir is currently fighting for Turkish league bronze and CEV Champions League gold.
